About The Davis Dyslexia Program

The Davis® Dyslexia Correction program is a four part process:

1. The Assessment:

The first step is to call the Ontario Office for a complimentary screening. This screening will determine if the client is a suitable candidate for the Davis(R) Program. It takes about one to two hours.

2. The Program:

This is an intense 30 hours, one-on-one program. During this time, the client will learn how to correct their own disorientation and how to stop the negative symptoms of Dyslexia. This will allow the client to have full control of what causes their own confusion, which is a huge self esteem builder!

3. Support Training:

For continued success after the 5 day program, there we will a Support Training session on the last day of the program. This will train anyone who will be working with the client in Symbol Mastery, reading exercises and Koosh Balls. It is extremely important that the 219 non-visual trigger words are eventually clayed using Symbol Mastery at home with a support person.

4. After the Program:

As part of the initial program, there will also be 5 Symbol Mastery Sessions available, that will be with the client and his facilitator and also include the support person. This will allow the support trainer and client to become even more familiar with the Davis Symbol Mastery process with the opportunity to clay as many as 30 words while working directly with the facilitator.

5. Additional Davis Tutoring:

There are times when parents discover that their children work best with other adults during homework sessions... This can also be true with Davis® Symbol Mastery. The complete success of the Davis® Program depends upon the client completing the claying of all of the 219 trigger words, and we highly recommend this as on option. If, after the 5 Symbol Mastery sessions (Included as part of the initial program) are finished, the family would like to hire Learning Perceptions to help complete the trigger words with the client, this can be arranged at an hourly rate.
PLEASE NOTE:The additional Davis® Symbol Mastery tutoring is also available to any Davis® Program graduates who have completed a Davis® Program with any licensed Davis® Correction facilitator.
